We ordered Jeju Style Gogi-Guksu (pork soup with noodles - $17) and Bibim Noodles (spicy cold noodles with veggie and pork slices - $18). The spicy cold noodle was very refreshing (perfect for the current weather!) and the pork soup with noodles was comforting and reminds me of mee sua. The side dishes were delicious too.
The highlight of the meal had to be the Spicy Halla Mountain Braised Pork Spare Ribs ($89). The pork ribs are braised in their signature red pepper sauce and the pork is so soft and tender that it literally falls apart. The stew is incredibly flavourful and the kimchi, raddish, cabbage and pork ribs soak up all the goodness.
A popular store here at ZRFC.
There was once I came here for lunch and queued up from the traffic light outside of the hawker centre. That was how popular it was during its heyday.
Now the queue not as long anymore, but this plate of CKT can still eat la. Still got queue but not as long anymore, but still need to wait 20-30mins at least.
Wok hei is strong. And the entire plate of CKT was wet & flavourful.
One of my favourite claypot rice.
Chicken meat were tender and their salted fish infused rice smells and tasted damn good.
$15 portion is actually rather small for 2 pax. 2 pax must go for $20 & above man.
Yuan yuan at ABC is rather elusive, they only opened from Fridays to Mondays, and only during dinner time.
With 2 Gelato shops that are almost side by side, and a craving for ice cream overcoming my sweet tooth, we walked over after our dinner at ABC.
Carrara not only serves gelato, they have a wide menu of hot and savoury food on their menu, from pasta to rosti, etc.
But what is the must have here at Carrara, is definitely their waffle and ice cream.
Waffles were freshly made, smell so buttery & Aromatic even. The texture so crispy and tasted buttery.
Their Gelato had many varieties to choose from and I was really spoilt for choices.
The Sticky Bun with Walnuts was soft and quite pillowy, and topped with sticky and crunchy caramelised walnuts. There was a think swirl of brown sugar inside.
Cafe Cartisan gives off an inviting ambience to have coffee and conversations. Going with my usual coffee fix, the cup of latte was medium-bodied and has a nutty afternote to it.
A rather popular okonomiyaki, need to queue to enter. 10% off Okonomiyaki if u DIY.
Kids will like this place, my friends have brought their kids here after our visit here.
One of the best Okonomiyaki I ever had in Singapore. We actually ordered a 2nd Okonomiyaki. Yums
- Garlic fried rice was awesome.
- Scallops Mentai were huge and juicy
- other dishes were just fillers, nothing fantastic
End of the day, u are coming here for the Okonomiyaki.
Two huge pieces of Toasted Garlic Baguette spread with butter, herb, and garlic. The bread had a toasty outer layer and a soft, fluffy inner.
A salad made with Buffalo Mozzarella, Tomato, fresh Basil, and Pesto sauce. The Buffalo mozzarella had a refreshing, creamy taste, complemented by the olive oil and pesto sauce, adding herbiness and richness to the salad. The arrangement of ingredients resembles the flag of Italy, with its green, white and red colour.
